VIRTUS: total vapour barrier!
Waterproof, bituminous under-tile vapour barrier sheathing
Applied on top of the first layer of boards and under the insulation in wooden roofs, it totally prevents moisture from passing through while maintaining the thermal performance of the insulation. VIRTUS is formed by 5 layers: the internal polyester core is coated on both sides by bituminous compounds. The external finish is in polypropylene non-woven fabric.
VIRTUS possesses high mechanical strength, as well as being non-slip and UV-resistent.
COMPOSITION
Top finish: Heavy non-woven polypropylene fabric with anti-UV and grip treatment. Abrasion and tread resistant. Absorbs mechanical stress (tensile, shearing stress).
Top internal layer: bituminous compound.
Reinforcement: polyester.
Bottom internal layer: bituminous compound.
Top finish: Light non-woven polypropylene fabric with anti-UV and grip treatment. Withstands abrasion of wooden support. Contributes towards the mechanical strength of the entire product.
ULTRASONIC LAMINATION
BITUMINOUS MEMBRANES:
Bonded bituminized polyester.
